We take a look at how Twitter responded to the news of Tavon Young’s torn ACL

If you did not hear, there was some bad news out of Baltimore Ravens OTAs the other day. Second year cornerback Tavon Young suffered a torn ACL. The extent of the injury was not originally known, but the team confirmed the severity yesterday.

For a young player, this kind of injury is devastating. After a great rookie season, Young was slated to see a ton of game time, but that is now out the window for this season. Young was poised to build on his strong 2016 campaign. With an improved secondary in Baltimore, Young was going to be the starting nickel corner for the purple and black. His ability to jump routes would have made him a strong player over the slot.

In today’s world, social media is the main way people communicate. We take a look at how Twitter reacted to hearing the news:

As expected, there were a lot of devastated fans.

A number Young’s teammates reached out on social media to give him their support. This was pretty cool to see.

Since the injury, Young sent out this tweet along with a number of others. He is definitely on the positive side of things, as he should be. It’s important to remember that he’s still a young player with a bright future.

Bad things happen but this is a minor setback for a major comeback. Young still has a very bright career ahead of him. The best has yet to come.
