Vacancy #1 – Center

When the Ravens traded Jeremy Zuttah to the 49ers, they knew that they would be needing a new center. In Baltimore’s organized team activities, the Ravens tried three different players at center, including John Urschel and Ryan Jensen. Urschel is entering his fourth season and Jensen his fifth, but neither of these two in-house guys has a proven track record of being consistent, starting-caliber offensive lineman.

Just by glossing over tweets and listening to reporters on the radio, I have heard that Jensen has put on some muscle over the offseason and looks the part, but the intense camp workouts have yet to begin.

The Ravens have been linked to a few free agent offensive lineman, and even had ex-Jet Nick Mangold in for a visit, but no deal was ever reached. Baltimore could still land Mangold or another free agent lineman, but there is only so much left on the market at this time of year.
