Re-Signing Brandon Williams:

The Ravens made a huge effort to boost their front seven this offseason. In addition to bringing in players at the outside linebacker spots, the Ravens made sure they kept Brandon Williams. When the Ravens inked a deal with this powerful defensive tackle, they made sure they got the most from their other investments.

Baltimore Ravens. RE-SIGNING: BRANDON WILLIAMS. A. Brandon Williams is one of the best run stuffing defensive tackles in the NFL. He doesn’t get the glory that Aaron Donald may get, but his value to the Ravens is glorious. The purple and black put a premium on stopping the run. Williams is a space eating defensive tackle, that will help C.J. Mosley and the linebacking group make plays in the backfield. Williams may not be a quarterback sacking machine but he does push the pocket back, applying much needed pressure over the center. Williams is one of the strongest players in the entire NFL. He is exactly what Dean Pees needs. He is the anchor of the defense and he gets the job done in the trenches. The Ravens move to trade away Timmy Jernigan shows you a lot about Williams. Number 98 was always who Ozzie Newsome had pegged as the future of the defensive line.. DT
