Baltimore Ravens: 5 Best Case Scenarios for the 2017 Season

Breshad Perriman makes the jump to super-stardom
As a first round pick it is difficult to see Breshad Perriman as anything but a bust at this point. There is still time for him to turn things around and by all accounts this season could be when we see that happen.
Coming into the draft he was seen as one of the biggest boom or bust candidates, with a potential around the 2013 Josh Gordon level and a downside of an inconsistent one trick pony. Through minicamp reports of his progress have been encouraging. He has reportedly been one of the teams standout performers. However, any reports out of minicamp and OTA’s should be taken with a pinch of salt. The players don’t have pads on and the drills in this scenario favor the offense. But it is encouraging nonetheless.
If this progress carries on into training camp and game scenarios we could see Perriman at least scratch the surface of that Josh Gordon comparison. That would be a huge plus for the team. It would give the Ravens something they’ve never really had: a true number one receiver. I’m not sure about you, but that prospect certainly gets me very excited.
