Baltimore Ravens announce training camp dates

The Baltimore Ravens will be back in training camp in a little over a month

This time of year for the NFL is a dry one. With most players and coaches on vacation, there is little to no news coming out. We see some roster moves made, but most are insignificant. However, there is some new for the Baltimore Ravens. Today they released their dates for the start of training camp.

The Ravens announced that veterans will be the first to report to the facility on July 26th. The next day will be the first full-team practice to kickoff the start training camp.

Once training camp gets going, things will start to pick back up. It will be the time where the Ravens to start to really evaluate what they have this season. Keep in mind, with new NFL rules this year, teams do not have to trim their roster down to 75 players in the preseason. They will be able to keep 90 players going into the final preseason game. This allows for a more in-depth analysis on players who are on the bubble for the 53-man roster.

Training camp is going to be an important time for the Ravens this offseason. They still have a number of positions that have not been decided yet. Most notably on the offensive line. There is a 3-man competition for center and right tackle is still undecided. The Ravens could still possibility go out and bring in a free agent.

Nevertheless, the news of training camp means that we are one step closer to the start of the season. It cannot come soon enough.
