Remy Cabache- Jaguars, Week 3

The Baltimore Ravens have a number of great games to look forward to in 2017, but there is one that really stands out to me.

That game is the Week 3 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars, in London nonetheless.

This may seem like a peculiar choice but there are multiple reasons why.

First of all, I think the Ravens and the Jaguars have a chance to be two of the most improved teams in the NFL. The Ravens offense can’t have gotten any worse and I think it will have improved. The defense has gotten even stronger and as long as the Ravens have Justin Tucker, Sam Koch and Jerry Rosburg the special teams unit will be a strength. The Jaguars have seemingly improved in every area and have taken pressure off their biggest liability, Blake Bortles. With both teams strengthened, at least on paper, this game should have playoff implications come the end of the season.

What’s more, in the past few years this game has been a nail-biter. Two years ago the Jaguars won following a disastrous sequence of events that resulted in a long field goal attempt on an untimed down. Last year the Ravens managed to hold out for a win following a defensive stand. If the last two years are anything to go by this game should be pretty close, especially is both teams have improved as much as I believe they have.

As we all know, this game will be played in London. That exciting for the casual fan, it’s particularly exciting for me as I will get to watch my favourite team in my home country. The Ravens have never played in London and it is a unique and exciting experience to see your team play at Wembley Stadium.

All in all, though this game may not seem like the most exciting right now, I think there is plenty to look forward to.
