Quarterbacks

Joe Flacco

Ryan Mallett

This should be the most shore position on the roster going into the season. Joe Flacco is under contract for at least another five years and isn’t going anywhere. There’s no need to go in with more than two quarterbacks this season. Even with Joe Flacco coming off of knee surgery last season they still only carried one backup. That shouldn’t change this season.

The Ravens don’t seem to be committed to young quarterback yet and will most likely wait another 2-3 more years before drafting one. As for now, Ryan Mallett is a more than serviceable backup quarterback. We know he has the ability to come in and put the Ravens in a position to win if Joe Flacco were to miss games.
