The Ravens added a lot to the front seven, but Terrell Suggs is always going to be the heart and soul of this defense. Suggs is going to put on a clinic in pass rushing. He had eight sacks last year playing hurt. If Suggs can stay healthy, he’s going to have double digit sacks. Book it now, you heard it here first.
Chris Wormley, Tim Williams, Tyus Bowser and Matt Judon… The list of Ravens pass rushers isn’t a short one. The Ravens are going to generate a ton of pass rush as a team. This is going to help Suggs come free of the edge more than he did last year. In the best years of his career, Suggs has had good pass rushers that complimented his game. In 2011 he had Jarrett Johnson, Pernell McPhee, Haloti Ngata and Corey Redding and Paul Kruger combine for 23.5 sacks. Suggs had 14 sacks that season and was the Defensive Player of the Year.
Suggs has that kind of help once again. History dictates that Suggs is going to have a huge season. I think he’s got at least one more epic run in him. That means Ravens fans can look forward to the Seven Nation Army chant after ever sack by Suggs.
