1. The offensive line has a weak link

One of the reasons I haven’t been scared about the offensive line is because there is a lot to like about it.  Ronnie Stanley looks like he could be the left tackle of the future, one Baltimore hasn’t really had since Jonathan Ogden. Alex Lewis is an incredible versatile player that was a stud in his rookie season. Marshall Yanda is the best right guard I have ever seen and Greg Roman should improve how things get done up front. There’s just one problem.

Football is the ultimate team sport and the offensive line is a perfect example of that. It just takes one weak link and the Ravens go into the season with uncertainty around their three talented linemen. It just takes one weak link and the Ravens don’t have a great answer at right tackle or at center. James Hurst is a disaster waiting to happen at right tackle (or any position). John Urschel is a little bit undersized and Ryan Jensen is a little inexperienced.

The Ravens may want to get back to running the football. They could have an impressive blueprint for getting the offensive back on track. None of it matters if the offensive line is a disaster on a weekly basis. If Joe Flacco is running for his life and Terrance West has nowhere to go, things are going to get frustrating. It’s like buying a gorgeous car without brakes. It totally makes you look like a stud but where are you going to go with it? The offensive line is so crucially important. As optimistic as I am about the season, it’s impossible to be worry free here. If the Ravens offensive line has a chance to sack the Ravens season.
