3. He can prove you wrong:

So you want to call Dixon a bust? What happens if and when he proves you wrong? What happens if he has a breakout 2018 season. You would be proven wrong. I touched on the fact that it was too early to call out Dixon for being a bust. The biggest reason why, is that the oodles and oodles of potential that he has didn’t go anywhere. That potential still exists. Yes, injuries are concerning. Yes, there is a chance that this will be a reoccurring problem for Dixon. However there is a chance that Dixon will be a good player.

The safest thing to do is to stay level headed. The best bet is to say that though this is disappointing, it’s just one chapter of Dixon’s story. Many people are calling Breshad Perriman their breakout player to watch this year. A lot of these people shouted that he was a bust. I certainly had my doubts about Perriman; now I can’t wait to see him ball out this season.

Next: Who can replace Kenneth Dixon?

It feels like it is one thing after another with Dixon. Last season he missed four weeks of the regular season due to an injury. Then there is the looming four game suspension. Now he’s hurt again. Frustration is totally called for. Disappointment is on the menu for sure. Calling Dixon a bust at this point is just giving into these emotions, nothing more.
