Baltimore Ravens hope to win with unproven talent
Receivers and tight ends:
Jeremy Maclin and Mike Wallace are established veterans at the wide receiver position. After that, the Ravens are asking a lot of players that haven’t done much yet. Breshad Perriman, who I expect to have a breakout year, only has 33 receptions early in his career. Chris Moore, Keenan Reynolds, Michael Campanaro and some undrafted free agents, that’s what is behind the Ravens top three receivers. Even if the Ravens three top receivers shine, the Ravens are going to need another receiver to step up at some point. Who will it be? I know that I’m supposed to provide the answers, but your guess is as good as mine.

The tight end position is similar. Other than Ben Watson, the Ravens don’t have know commodities. Nick Boyle, Maxx Williams and now Larry Donnell will fight for snaps. The biggest problem is that Joe Flacco (who we hope is ready for week 1) doesn’t really have much chemistry with anybody in this group. Sometimes unproven players present the problem of unfamiliarity.
The Ravens offense is a complete mystery right now. The offensive line is an unsorted mess (we’ll get to that in a bit). Joe Flacco isn’t practicing and Ryan Mallet’s play is the equivalent of fire hydrant with no water. The running back situation is hard to get any confidence with and on top of everything, the players that Flacco will eventually throw to, have done next to nothing in the NFL.
