 The offensive line:

Imagine you’re at a Ravens game and the players are being introduced. Over the speakers you hear “Right tackle, James Hurst.” What will your reaction be? My bet is that your clapping will turn into a gulp. Then at center the Ravens could start Matt Skura or Ryan Jensen. Double gulp. The Ravens offensive line is concerning, no matter what optimism you bring to the table.

Unless the Ravens make a move, the Ravens will be spelunking into unknown territory at the center position. At least the Ravens know what to expect with Hurst at right tackle. It isn’t good, but at least we’ll see it coming. I have said over and over and over again that Alex Lewis is the only real option the Ravens have at right tackle. However, that just creates doubt at the left guard position. I have confidence that Nico Siragusa can fill that role, but does John Harbaugh and company?

No matter how it shakes out the Ravens are asking a lot from unproven players on the offensive line. Secondly, there is no getting around tough decisions. The offensive line is one area the Ravens just don’t have answers to. Injuries to offensive linemen will only make this situation worse. It could be good up front for the Ravens, but that is something that is highly in doubt.
