3. Terrell Suggs:

Terrell Suggs is 21st all-time in taking down the quarterback. He has 114.5 sacks to his name. A 10 sack season would get the Ravens linebacker to the 17th spot on the list. 11 of the players in the top 16 spots have a gold jacket. As a pass rusher, Suggs is in elite company. He can also climb further and further up the record books. Pass rushing is the number one thing you look at for outside linebackers, but Suggs is more than just a pass rusher.

To go with his 114.5 sacks he has over 700 tackles, 30 forced fumbles and seven interceptions. Having almost twice as many forced fumbles as number 52 is an incredible accomplishment. Suggs was the Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2003 and the Defensive Player of the Year in 2011. He does it all, and he is consistently one of the best players at his position.

Hall of Fame players should be the once in a lifetime kind of guys. That’s definitely what Suggs is. There has never been a player quite like Suggs in the NFL. When he is retired, there will never be another player like him. He has a personality that is unique and beloved by Baltimore. He has a lot of heart and he gives everything he has to the team. I think he should already be a lock for the Hall of Fame, but 2017 is a chance for him to add to his case.
