The competition at wide receiver is real. It’s time to look at the power rankings at the wide receiver position. We begin with the four locks to make the team:

The Ravens have four players they know are making the team at the wide receiver position. When you look at the rest of the guys it’s an open competition. The Ravens lost a receiver for the year when Tim White injured his thumb. Earlier today, I wrote how this could help Keenan Reynolds end up making the team. The competition however is anything but settled. We are going to look at each receiver in the mix for Baltimore. Remember the Ravens may or may not keep more than six receivers so being in the top six is crucial. With four guaranteed roster spots locked up that makes things really interesting.

26. There is no questioning that Jeremy Maclin will be the Ravens top receiver when the regular season starts. He is an elite talent at the receiver position and he’s gotten past the injuries that nagged him last season. Maclin is a receiver that can run every route there is known to mankind. He is going to be Joe Flacco’s go to guy. He is replacing Steve Smith Sr. and he still has a lot of football ahead of him. My prediction is that Maclin has a bounce back year, the offense exceeds expectations (even if it isn’t pretty) and Ravens fans will buy a lot of Maclin jerseys.. . . Jeremy Maclin. 1. team

team. 26. Mike Wallace is a known commodity, that’s why he is ahead of Perriman. In actuality the Ravens need Wallace to become their number three option in the passing game. Until Perriman proves that he can do it, Wallace is at number two here. Wallace caught 72 receptions for 1,017 yards and five touchdowns in 2016. There were some pretty big plays that Wallace made in his first season wearing purple. With more help around him at the receiver position (Maclin, an improved Perriman) Wallace should be able to become a role player. His job is to be a deep threat and be a catch and off to the races kind of player.. . . Mike Wallace. 2

Breshad Perriman. 3. team. 26. The fact that Perriman came alive in the second half of last season is huge. Once Perriman got comfortable and got into a rhythm with Joe Flacco, things started to look up for the 2015 first round pick. Perriman missed his entire rookie season with an injury. Ravens fans have waited patiently and now we’re hoping for a big pay off for that patience. Perriman hurt his hamstring earlier in camp but according to reports has just returned back to practice. Durability is always going to be a concern with Perriman, speed, size and ability will not.. .

team. 26. Chris Moore was a fourth round pick in 2015 and the Ravens want him to develop into a good wide receiver. The reason however, that Moore is a lock to make the roster is his prowess on special teams. He plays on the kickoff and punt teams and he makes his presence known. Last year he scored two special teams touchdowns. The first was when he picked up the ball against the Steelers after Buck Allen blocked a punt. The second was against the Jets when their punter couldn’t handle the snap. Moore is tall, blazing fast and he gives great effort. Moore is going to make the roster. Now we just have to see if he makes an impact as a receiver.. . . Chris Moore. 4
