Welcome to the first episode of the Ebony Bird Podcast, a Baltimore Ravens talk show presented to you by Ebony Bird and Fansided.

We’ve done some previous podcasts this preseason, but this is our first episode on Blog Talk Radio.

This week, site expert Chris Schisler and contributor Jake McDonnell get you ready for the Ravens’ third preseason game against the Buffalo Bills. The guys open the episode by going over some bubble players that need a solid showing throughout the rest of the preseason to have a chance at making the 53-man roster.

The show continues with an emerging debate surrounding the Ravens; who should be the backup quarterback? Ryan Mallett is the veteran, but he has not looked good in games so far. Undrafted rookie Josh Woodrum impressed in both of his preseason outings. If Joe Flacco’s back keeps him out long-term, who should the Ravens keep?

The show wraps up with Chris and Jake talking about the defense. Do defensive stats matter in the preseason? In the wake of Tavon Young’s season-ending injury, will Jaylen Hill solidify a starting job at nickel cornerback?

Any comments or feedback please also leave in the comment section. We want to make this podcast as best we can and there is always room for improvement.
