The preseason is almost over and a strong performance on Thursday may be too little to late for five Baltimore Ravens players:

The Baltimore Ravens have won three preseason games in a row. It’s mildly exciting. It doesn’t mean much but it does say something about their depth. There are many positions around the roster where the depth chart can be debated. When the Ravens start cutting players, there will be some really hard calls. This kind of depth is a good thing for the team. That being said, the competition is too much for some players on the roster bubble. There are only so many spots that the coaching staff can justify spending on one position. Special teams contributions are a good way to punch a ticket, but you will see that doesn’t guarantee anything.

The fourth preseason game is the showcase for the players that haven’t locked up roster spots. The more snaps a player gets in the Ravens game on Thursday night, the less likely they are to make the team. The Ravens have had plenty of training camp practices and three preseason games. The time to make a lasting impression on the coaching staff is past. If you still haven’t produced at this point, you have to be worried about your chances.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at five Ravens who may not be Ravens for very long. These players are probably getting released or heading to the practice squad. There are only so many spots the team can justify using for one position. Making the 53 man roster isn’t easy and these players haven’t done enough.
