After last night’s game against the Saints, the Baltimore Ravens are officially done with the preseason. But don’t think things slow down, they get even busier. In the next two days, teams are going to be cutting players.
Because of rule changes this offseason, teams were able to keep 90-man rosters throughout the entire preseason. This means that cuts are going to come in bulk. The Ravens need to cut 37 players before the deadline at 4 p.m. on Saturday. We’ve already seen teams starting to make moves. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have cut four players just this morning. Expect the Ravens to start doing the same within the next couple hours.
Don’t be surprised to see the Ravens also adding players. The front office and it’s staff will be closely watching the players who get cut from other teams. These players can be signed on to the team. The Ravens could also trade. We’ve heard the possibility of this, considering the depth on the defensive line. Could a Carl Davis or Willie Henry be dealt for depth on the offensive line? It’s entirely possible.
