Heading into Week 1 of the NFL regular season, it looks like Baltimore Ravens should be relatively healthy aside from cornerback Jaylen Hill.
The Baltimore Ravens start of their regular season with a road test against divisional foes. They’ll travel to Cincinnati, a place where the Ravens haven’t won since 2012. But even after all the injuries the Ravens have gone through this offseason, they look relatively healthy for Sunday’s matchup.
Per the team’s injury report released on Wednesday, here is what the team is working with:
Injury Report
Full Participation– Joe Flacco (Back), Jeremy Maclin (Hand), Breshad Perriman (Thigh), Ronnie Stanley (Knee), Danny Woodhead (Thigh)
Limited Participation– Sheldon Price (Concussion)
Did Not Practice– Jaylen Hill (Thigh)
According to reports, there was no change in practice participation today. Hill did not practice and Price was limited wearing a red non-contact jersey. By the looks of it, Hill will have to wait to make his regular season debut next week against the Browns.
With Hill out, veteran safety Lardarius Webb should see most of the starting snaps at nickel cornerback. The former cornerback transitioned to safety last season. His versatility to play both positions is exactly why the Ravens brought him back this season. The Ravens secondary will have their hands full coming up against the Bengals. Rookie wide receiver John Ross will be out, but A.J. Green and Tyler Eifert have a thorn in the Ravens’ side. We’ll finally get to see the new look secondary in action.
Next: 3 Baltimore Ravens vital to beating the Cincinnati Bengals
Flacco, Perriman, and Woodhead all missed extended periods of time during the preseason but should be ready to go. You’d still expect some rust from these three, especially since none played more than two games this preseason. Come Sunday, Joe Flacco will have had just eight days of practice under his belt. An offense that’s been question has a chance to silence their critics.
