The Baltimore Ravens improved to 2-0 on the season with a Week 2 win against the Browns. Here are my five thoughts following the game.

It wasn’t pretty, but the Baltimore Ravens came out with the win on Sunday. Riding another dominant defensive performance, the Ravens beat the Cleveland Browns 24-10. The Ravens are now 2-0 and atop of the AFC North with the Steelers.

Here are my five thoughts following the Week 2 win

5. I like Alex Collins, a lot

Like many, I expected Jeremy Langford to be the third running back on Sunday. The Ravens activated him off the practice squad on Friday, only to waive him the following day. The team then called up Alex Collins, who had reportedly had a great week in practice. That showed on the field against the Browns.

From the small sample size I saw from Collins, I was impressed. He came into the fourth quarter with a ton of energy. One of his first runs was broken off for a 16-yard gain. Collins ran hard and with a purpose, which was exciting to see. He was a fresh spark filling in for Buck Allen and Terrance West. The only concern came with the fumble, but it was a matter of Collins trying to do too much on the play. The fact that Harbaugh kept him out there the following drive was a big deal, especially since he’s known to keep players in the doghouse for fumble problems.

Collins has a place on this roster going forward. He’s still the third back on the depth chart, but I like what I’ve seen so far.
