The Baltimore Ravens were embarrassed in a 44-7 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Here are my knee-jerk reactions.

Well, that wasn’t fun. The Baltimore Ravens came into their first ever NFL International game and were absolutely embarrassed by the Jacksonville Jaguars. No one saw this coming, not even Jaguars fans. It’ll be a somber flight home from London as this is one of the worst losses we’ve seen in Ravens franchise history. One loss doesn’t define this team, but there are some questions that need to be answered.

Here are my knee-jerk reactions from the loss.

Flacco and the offense regressed

Just as we thought Joe Flacco and the Ravens offense seemed to be progressing after a Week 2 win, they took a step back today.

To say Flacco had a bad game is an understatement. The Ravens quarterback had one of the worst performances of his career, finishing the day 8 of 18 for 28 yards and two interceptions. Ryan Mallett replaced Flacco in the beginning of the fourth quarter and finished with a better stat line.

Flacco looked like he was playing in Marty Morhinweg’s 2016 offense. His best throws of the day were check-downs to the running back and we rarely saw any shots taken down the field. Flacco’s first interception was more of Jeremy Maclin’s fault on the bobbled pass, but the second to Jalen Ramsey was just a poor throw. Once again, the wide receivers seemed no where to be found. Jeremy Maclin, Breshad Perriman and Mike Wallace combined for two catches for 14 total yards. The only bright spot on the offense came from Alex Collins, who looks like the most explosive running back out of the three.

I’m not here to overreact and tell you Flacco needs to be benched, but that performance wasn’t one that he or the Ravens offense will want to remember.
