Baltimore Ravens defensive tackle Brandon Williams hinted at a return off of injury with this hilarious tweet.

The Baltimore Ravens miss Brandon Williams, bad. The defensive tackle has been out since suffering a foot injury in Week 2 against the Browns. Since then, the Ravens have gone 1-2 and had trouble controlling the run up the middle.

There’s been no definitive timetable on Williams’ return and the Ravens are now entering the fourth week without him. It’s got experts and fans alike wondering when he’ll return.

Then out of blue yesterday, we got some news.

Known for his humor and big personality (no pun intended there) Williams sent out this tweet, hinting at an upcoming return.

You can say it got Ravens fans just a little bit excited…

Williams’ absence has been noticeable. The defense held Marshawn Lynch to just 43 yards on Sunday, but were at the fault of two big games for Le’Veon Bell and Leonard Fournette the previous two weeks. Now with Carl Davis out with the hamstring injury, depth on the defensive line continues to deteriorate. Getting back Williams on the interior is crucial.

There’s a reason the Ravens signed Williams to a five-year, $52 million contract this past offseason. They were willing to let go of Kyle Juszczyk and even Rick Wagner to keep Williams around for the foreseeable future. In light of Williams’ injury, we’ve seen other players step up. Second-year defensive tackle Willie Henry and even Davis was playing well before going down with injury on Sunday. But at some point, the Ravens need the strength of the defensive line back.

Not only is Williams a fantastic football player, but he’s also a fan favorite among the Ravens fans and the organization. Everyone loves the big man and it really does suck to see him sidelined for this long. You can even tell by the tweet he sent out. It was in typical Brandon Williams fashion.

Let’s hope the tweet means Williams returns back to practice at some point this week. It may not mean he’ll play Sunday, but it’ll be positive injury news that the Ravens are desperate for.
