Baltimore Ravens Week 7: Wednesday injury report
By Joe Schiller
As the Baltimore Ravens enter Week 7 of the NFL season, here’s a look at the first day of the injury report. Who’s practicing?
Off their most disappointing loss of the season, the Baltimore Ravens are on to Week 7. Things don’t get any easier as they come up against a stout Vikings team on the road. Injuries problems have been the narrative all season for this team and it’s not changing this week.
The Ravens’ injury report is chock-full of participants this week and that’s good and bad news. Key defensive players are returning, but plenty of players are set to be ruled out on Sunday.
Here’s a look at who was out on the field Wednesday.
Injury Report
Full participation- Carl Davis (thigh), Jaylen Hill (thigh), Brandon Williams (foot)
Limited participation- Anthony Levine Sr. (thigh), Jeremy Maclin (shoulder), Mike Wallace (backs)
Did not practice- Breshad Perriman (concussion), Matt Skura (knee), Jimmy Smith (achilles), Ronnie Stanley (mouth), Ben Watson (knee), Terrance West (calf), Tim Williams (thigh), Maxx Williams (ankle)
Three huge defensive players are set to return this Sunday. Carl Davis, Brandon Williams and Jaylen Hill were full participants in practice today. The Ravens are desperate for depth on the interior of the defensive line and have struggled to stop the run in recent weeks. Davis and Williams’ return will immediately fix that. Hill impressed as undrafted rookie and will hopefully see his first NFL action come Sunday.
The problem lies on the other side of the injury report. Eight different players did not practice. At this point, we’ve become pretty much dumb to more injury news, but it keeps coming. I’d be surprised if Breshad Perriman plays on Sunday, given the hit he took last week. Ronnie Stanley was an interesting addition with a mouth injury and there’s been no further news on his status.
