Ravens vs. Vikings: 3 things that drove us crazy in this game
The Baltimore Ravens looked awful in their 24-16 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Here are 3 things that drove us crazy in the Ravens fourth loss in five games.
The Baltimore Ravens have no offense to speak of for the most part. When Mike Wallace left the game with a concussion, the Ravens receiving woes were magnified. To be fair, it’s hard to expect much from an offense without Jeremy Maclin and Mike Wallace. It’s hard to complain about an offense in which Michael Campanaro is the best wide receiver on the field. The Ravens had a tough draw in this game. I get all of that. However watching this offense is hard. They have excuses but let’s not pretend this hasn’t gone on all season long.
The offense wasn’t the only thing to complain of this week. The Ravens gave up too many long drives in this game. The Ravens defense started the second half by allowing a long run by Latavius Murray. Then the Ravens let the Vikings essentially put the second quarter to bed with a long drive. Popular consensus told the tale that the Ravens run defense would improve with Brandon Williams and Carl Davis coming back. The problems persisted.
This was all around bad
The Ravens had some good things happen in this game. We’ll talk about that in another post. There hasn’t been one game in which the Ravens haven’t given us something to vent about. That’s where we start. Watching the Ravens has become a burden. We love the team. That isn’t changing. We’re still wearing our purple and we’re still being passionate on game day. It’s just that the Ravens are driving us nuts. Let’s talk about the things that we just can’t stand from the day’s action. Some of this is getting old.
