The cavalry is coming (back)

A lot of key players such as Marshal Yanda, Alex Lewis, and Brent Urban aren’t coming back this season. However, several other players will be making a return (and soon). Running back Danny Woodhead, who looked like the best offensive player in his only drive with the Ravens, will be eligible to return from IR in a few weeks. This offense relies heavily on the short passing game, which Danny Woodhead is the master of. Cornerback Maurice Canady is the second player who will most likely be taken off of IR. The secondary has been by far the strongest component of the team, but you can never have enough quality depth.

Countless other players who have missed time with non-season-ending injuries should be returning soon as well, such as, Terrance West, Jeremy Maclin, Mike Wallace, Breshad Perriman, Matt Skura, Tim Williams, and Chris Matthews. Getting all of these players back will be huge for a team absolutely decimated by injuries. The Ravens have a bye week after their game against the Dolphins this Thursday. This will give the team time to really look in the mirror, and most importantly, get healthy. If the Ravens can get a win Thursday and carry confidence into the bye, then that could do wonders for the spirits of the players.
