Jeremy Maclin

Jeremy Maclin has proven to be Joe’s most reliable wide receiver. He has three touchdowns on the year and is the most consistent chain mover in the passing game. Maclin has the best hands and route running of all the wide receivers and is vital to converting tough third and long downs. Mike Wallace is the big play speed threat on the offense, but Maclin is the most reliable target by far this year. Having both Maclin and Wallace back healthy will be huge for this offense which failed to produce much of anything without them.

The Ravens must convert third downs to sustain drives and keep their defense off the field. Jeremy Maclin and tight end Benjamin Watson are Joe’s go-to guys this year. Maclin has also shown that he can find the red zone better than the Ravens other receivers. It took basically no time for this QB-WR duo to get on the same page and make big plays. Hopefully, this relationship will only continue to improve and we will see the Ravens passing attack greatly improve.

This offense has been wildly inconsistent this season. Against Oakland, Joe Flacco and Mike Wallace shredded the secondary for deep ball after deep ball. Against Miami, Alex Collins and the Ravens running game couldn’t be slowed down. The point is, this offense must find consistency. That starts with running the ball with Alex Collins as much as possible and hitting the needed passes to convert third downs and score touchdowns. Jeremy Maclin is the Ravens best all-around receiver and he will be a huge focal point in improving this offense.
