Don’t let Ravens struggles fool you, the NFL is fun
The NFL is a lot more fun than you may think if you just watch the struggling Baltimore Ravens.
The Baltimore Ravens are our favorite team, but they aren’t the most fun team to watch. The Ravens don’t have a ton of superstars. It’s impossible not to love Justin Tucker, but when the kicker outshines everyone on the team, you have to get a few play-makers (looking at you Ozzie). The NFL is fun but when your team is 4-5 it is easy to forget that.
The New Orleans Saints have been revived. Drew Brees and the Saints are 7-2 and are once again Super Bowl contenders. They’re putting on a show. The Los Angeles Rams came out of nowhere and the Philadelphia Eagles are back to power in the NFC.
Jared Goff and Carson Wentz offer the NFL a new wave of NFL quarterbacks. Peyton Manning’s still in half the commercials but the league desperately needed new blood at the quarterback position. In addition to Goff and Wentz, you have Marcus Mariota, Jameis Winston and DeShaun Watson. Before Watson went down for the remainder of the season, he was putting up fireworks the Houston Texans.

The playoff picture in the AFC is muddled but that kind of makes it fun. It makes it stressful for Ravens fans, but you can’t say it isn’t interesting. The AFC South is up for grabs between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Tennessee Titans. Both teams have beaten the Ravens and both teams have six wins.
There are five teams with four or five wins in the AFC. That means that everyone of those teams has a chance to make the playoffs as a wild card. With only two wild card spots and the AFC South runner up most likely filling one of them, that is intense.
Fun prime time games too:
Thursday Night Football has been more entertaining this season, than ever. We’ve seen the New England Patriots sneak past the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a game that could have gone either way. The Rams beat the San Francisco 49ers 41-39 in a classic shootout. The Eagles and Panthers had a tightly contested game and it took over 400 yards and four touchdowns from Derek Carr for the Oakland Raiders to beat the Kansas City Chiefs 31-30. The Ravens had their fun, in their awesome color rush uniforms, beating the Miami Dolphins 40-0.

The NFL has opened up a can of worms with controversies that I’m not getting into. Saying that the NFL isn’t what it once was has become the vogue statement. However there is a lot of fun in the NFL. When the Baltimore Ravens put on a clinic for making things more difficult than things have to be, it’s not enjoyable. Stick with your team through thick and thin Ravens Flock, just make sure you enjoy football games all over the NFL landscape. There is a lot of action that you don’t want to miss.
