What we learned:

There was no sophomore slump for Ronnie Stanley who started all but one game this season. Stanley is setting up to be a core piece to the franchise, the left tackle of the present and the future. What is most impressive about Stanley’s play is that he had less talent playing next to him this season than in his rookie campaign. The argument could be made that Stanley elevated his game, and that is what made the offensive line tick.

The Ravens also learned that Jensen is a fully capable starter. Jensen will become a free agent this offseason so the Ravens will have to re-sign him. When this season started, Jensen was the wild card. He was for the most part inexperienced and untested. Jensen passed the test and now he is the Ravens most important free agent to retain. The Ravens also learned that in terms of depth, their offensive line was much better prepared than anyone gave them credit for.

Thanks coach:

We learned that Joe D’Allessandris is worth every penny he is payed as the offensive line coach. There is no getting around the amount of adversity his unit had to deal with. The Ravens had a lot of injuries and the offensive line was hit the hardest. When Yanda went down the team was without their coach on the field. Yanda’s leadership cannot be overstated, it has been crucially important. The Baltimore Ravens needed new leadership to step up but more than anything they needed a steady hand at the offensive line coaching position. In fact D’Allessandris won the Ebony Bird Underrated Contributor award this year.
