Jarvis Landry would be the perfect player for the Baltimore Ravens to go after in free agency. Reason 1: He’s what Joe Flacco needs.

Jarvis Landry would be the kind of receiver that Joe Flacco could lean on. Flacco has always flourished when he has had a go to guy in the passing game. Two receivers who filled this role were Steve Smith Sr. and Derrick Mason. Landry is a similar receiver in terms of style. He has the ability to run the entire route tree, he’s good over the middle of the field and he’s able to get open when Joe really needs it. In terms of style, Landry is something the Ravens have gotten familiar results from. In terms of talent, Landry is something the Ravens have never had. He would be a star receiver in his prime.

Landry would be an upgrade of the highest order. He wouldn’t come in and be the only thing the Ravens need on offense, but he would make the team instantly more exciting. The acrobatic catches, displays of straight up spark in the open field and his productivity would make the Ravens a thousand times more enjoyable to watch. The Ravens may not be able to solve their problems with one free agent, but this one free agent can give them what they need the most.

Help Joe for once:

Flacco needs his guy. Jarvis Landry was a productive wide receiver with Jay Cutler and Matt Moore running the Dolphins’ show. Anything he can do in Miami, he can do better in Baltimore. Landry and Flacco would be a perfect mesh. Jeremy Maclin proved that chemistry with Flacco is incredibly important, because he had no chemistry with Flacco. Landry is a quarterback friendly receiver. The purple and black may be paying Flacco like a passer who can make players around him better, but Flacco needs players who make him better. Flacco and Landry would finally surpass the cohesive chemistry of the Flacco and Mason pairing.
