53. Normally the Browns make Browns worthy decisions. That’s how they became the Browns we know and love to beat today. This year the Browns are determined to get it right, and make the non-Browns kind of pick. Josh Allen strikes me as the biggest potential bust of the quarterback crop, so the Browns are going to do the opposite. They’re going to take the sure thing in Josh Rosen.

From a mechanical point of view, it doesn’t get any better than Rosen. His footwork is awesome, his release is quick and he has the potential to be the next Aaron Rodgers. Rosen had to do it all at UCLA. Rosen is a risk taker, who has the magic to make it work. In other words he is a good old fashioned gunslinger with the arm talent and accuracy to get away with it. Rosen threw for 59 touchdowns and 26 picks in his three years with the Bruins.

Rosen is a leader with the football IQ to tear teams apart. He reminds me of Rodgers in so many ways, and that is a great compliment. The Browns always seem to draft the wrong quarterback. The best player on the board is Rosen and the Browns aren’t going to let him slip by (at least with me acting as their general manager in this mock draft).
. Quarterback . UCLA.
