player. 45. This is assuming that Kirk Cousins spurns the Broncos and they remain in search of a competent signal caller. John Elway and the Broncos staff requested to coach both Josh Allen and Baker Mayfield at the Senior Bowl alerting everyone to their preference in a signal caller. I believe the Broncos will go after the bigger more gifted quarterback in Allen over the fan favorite Baker Mayfield. Allen may have struggled against big-time schools, but it’s hard to ignore the talent disparity on that Wyoming roster. Allen had a terrific second half in the Senior Bowl and should showcase enough in the combine to give him the edge over Mayfield. Elway better hope he gets this quarterback selection right and not do a repeat of Paxton Lynch.. Quarterback. Wyoming. Josh Allen. 5
