6. Ed Dickson:

Career stats with Baltimore: 111 receptions, 1,178-yards, 7 touchdowns

Despite a promising sophomore season, Ed Dickson never became the athletic, game-changing tight end the Ravens dreamed he’d become.

Dickson’s 2011 campaign saw the former Oregon Ducks tight end nab career highs in receptions (54), yards (528), and touchdowns (5). 2012 was supposed to be Dickson’s year in the spot light. Instead, he was overshadowed by fellow 2010 draft pick, Dennis Pitta. Pitta became a fan favorite, and Dickson became a washed up memory.

Even when Pitta went down with his untimely hip injury in 2013, Dickson failed to step-up and be “the guy.” Dickson’s stint with Baltimore would last just the duration of his rookie contract. Dickson went on to sign a one-year “prove it” contract with the Carolina Panthers.

Dickson remains one of the few on this list still active in the NFL. He is currently a free agent and at 30-years old, appears to be nothing more than a camp body at this point in his career. A former third round pick, Dickson lands just outside the top five on our list.
