3. Wallace could be sneakily good:

Wallace is a complementary player who has been used as a top target. If the Ravens add talent in the draft (Courtland Sutton, D.J. Moore or Dallas Goedert kind of players) Wallace will be the forgotten piece of the offense. That’s a good thing. Wallace would be able to slip free down the field if the defense is too worried about other players. Everybody opponent is going to hone in on Crabtree. If the Ravens add a good tight end, that will direct some defensive attention as well. Wallace could thrive if he was an afterthought of the offense.

Less could be more for Wallace. He would get less targets but he would get more each time he touches the football. Good defensive coordinators make your second or third best players try to beat them. Wallace is a number three receiver that can make these good defensive coordinators pay. Wallace is what he is. He isn’t a number one receiver. He’s an okay number two, and a great number three that can get past the secondary.

When the Ravens look at their options, they should want Wallace back. If and when the Ravens make the move to re-sign Wallace, they will be a better football team for it.
