Welcome to an exciting mock draft as we inch closer to the 2018 NFL Draft. Joe Schiller starts us off with the first pick. Joe got the odd number picks, I (Chris Schisler) got the even numbered selections.

This mock draft is one of many mock drafts available to you, so we tried to make it awesome. This mock draft is packed with analysis of each pick, and some interesting takes.

QB. USC`. Sam Darnold. 1. player. 53. Hue Jackson can throw smoke all he wants but there the Cleveland Browns will take a quarterback with the No. 1 pick. Josh Rosen has publicly expressed his displeasure with the organization making Sam Darnold the clear-cut quarterback to select. Unlike in pasts seasons, Darnold has a chance to develop without getting thrown into the fire. He’s got the talent and intangibles to be a franchise quarterback. After all of their misses, the Browns finally get it right on this one.

Josh Rosen. 2. player. 31. Josh Rosen is the best quarterback in the draft, so they have to thank Cleveland for taking Darnold. This is the best chance to find the successor to Eli Manning. Would Barkley help them more now? Probably. Would Nelson make sense? You bet. However the QB is the pivotal position. Rosen to the Giants is about the future.. QB. UCLA

Wyoming. Josh Allen. 3. player. 30. From Darnold to Rosen to now Josh Allen. We’ve got three quarterbacks taken off the board with the first three picks. This isn’t an unlikely scenario and why else would the Jets trade up three spots? To find their quarterback of the future. Allen has a rocket of an arm but his accuracy is a major concern for teams. Having Josh McCown and Teddy Bridgewater will allow Allen to sit back and learn before getting the chance to play. Allen has a generational arm talent and if he can develop, this kid is going to be something special.. QB

player. 53. The Browns never want this offseason to end, because it’s the first time they have been excited in years. They got Jarvis Landry to pair with Josh Gordon. They got a quarterback in the draft and can sit him behind Tyrod Taylor if they have to. Now the Browns have a once in a lifetime running back? With this pick, the Browns have the pieces to have a really exciting offense. Barkley has great vision, and is both powerful and elusive.. RB. Penn St.. Saquan Barkley. 4
