Round Six: Holton Hill, Cornerback, Texas

Holton Hill has tremendous size for the position at 6’3 200 pounds, but has some real concerns regarding his off the field antics . On the field Hill has shown the ability to be a shut down corner on the outside or an impact player at safety because of his tackling ability. Hill has taken two interceptions for touchdowns and has even returned a blocked punt for a touchdown. He is truly an impact player when he has his head screwed on tight.

Hill was suspended from the team this past season and probably could have benefited from another season to clear his name. With that said, it might be the Ravens gain that he decided to enter the draft. A talent like Hill should be a top 100 player, but in this case he is an absolute steal in the sixth.

With Jimmy Smith sidelined yet again and Brandon Carr faltering down the stretch, the Ravens can’t afford to drop Hill off their board. The Ravens should try and pair last years top pick, Marlon Humphrey, with a bookend corner. His ability to also potentially play safety could mean that he could eventually be Eric Weddle’s successor and brings that much more value.
