3. Billy Price

The replacement to Ryan Jensen could be coming in the first round of the NFL Draft. 16 would be high for Price, but we live in a world where Jensen is the highest paid center so is it that unrealistic? Price is certainly a player that could be in play if the Ravens trade back into the 20’s. Price is also a versatile player that can play center and guard, something the Ravens have been known to look for upfront.

If the Ravens drafted Price, it would be surprising. Ozzie Newsome has proven that he can find offensive linemen that other teams passed on. With that in mind the Ravens probably shouldn’t rush to fix the center position. That being said, Newsome drafted Gino Gradkowski and that worked about as well as a rubber band trying to keep a metal door locked.

Price would be a good player to pick up for the Ravens, but this pick wouldn’t be predictable. If the Ravens feel confident in Matt Skura, they won’t draft a center, but we don’t know how the Ravens feel about that. Price could be high on their board. He is a quick footed lineman who can handle the battle in the trenches. There is a reason he is a dark horse candidate for the 16th pick, but there is a reason he deserves a little attention as well.
