7. player. 48. Derwin James is a special athlete. He has the ability to be a ball-hawking free safety. He hits like he is a strong safety and he has a high football IQ. James is a dependable safety who is his one man legion of boom. He has the football smarts of Richard Sherman, the range and ball skills of Earl Thomas and the physicality of Kam Chancellor. The Buccaneers need help in their secondary. This pick is as easy as it gets for the Buccaneers. If it weren’t for the quarterback craze, James could easily be a top three pick.
