2. The Ravens have a desperate need:

The Baltimore Ravens need a tight end in the worst way. The Ravens top tight end from last season signed with the New Orleans Saints, and it’s not like Ben Watson was setting the world on fire. This is a position where the Ravens need a total reset. Drafting Goedert would be the first step in fixing the tight end problem the Ravens have. That problem is a group of underwhelming players that Flacco cannot lean on. Goedert would be a go to guy, but most importantly he is the missing piece the offense needs.

The Ravens just signed Willie Snead to an offer sheet and barring a surprising move by the Saints, he’s going to be a Raven. Michael Crabtree and John Brown came to the Ravens in free agency. Crabtree is a legitimate number one receiver who isn’t getting enough love. Snead has a chance to be a strong number two and John Brown has big potential, it’s just hard to bet on. The Ravens actually have a decent receiving group all of the sudden. Chris Moore could factor in as well and he made huge strides last season.

The Ravens offensive line is solid. With Marshall Yanda coming back, as with the return of Alex Lewis, this offensive line should be strong. Alex Collins is capable of being a star. Now the only question marks about the Ravens offense are Joe Flacco and the tight end group. Adding a tight end that can go up and get the football is the best way to take Flacco from a question mark to an asset.
