The Baltimore Ravens just traded the 16th pick of the 2018 NFL Draft to the Buffalo Bills:

The Baltimore Ravens traded back with the Buffalo Bills to get to the 22nd pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. There were some highly coveted players sitting there at 16. Derwin James was the most notable player available. Lamar Jackson was also on the board. The Buffalo Bills ended up taking Tremaine Edmunds, the linebacker from Virginia Tech.

The Ravens got a fair deal. Newsome netted the 96th overall pick, and swapped first round picks. The Ravens didn’t get a good compensatory pick that it seemed like they were counting on. This trade essentially fixed that problem.

One of the main stories in this draft was top talent falling. There was a lot of movement in this draft. The New Orleans Saints traded up from 27 to 14 to grab Marcus Davenport. The offensive tackles were swept up. This meant that the Ravens had a lot of play-makers that could fall to the 22nd pick in the draft.

The Ravens got exactly what they wanted with the 16th pick and that was an escape route. This means that the Ravens don’t have to reach. This means that the purple and black don’t have to take a shot that could end up paying against them. This draft is obviously a huge moment for Newsome, especially in his last draft as the general manager.

The Ravens are moments away from finding out who the next member of their team is. We’ll have you covered.
