Akrum Wadley, RB, Iowa

The Positive:

That doesn’t mean that can’t get an electric running back that’s almost impossible to tackle in Akrum Wadley. Wadley has amazing feet. His cuts are beautiful, and he can effortlessly stop and go no matter where he is on the field. He also has plenty of experience catching the ball out of the backfield. He has great vision and that makes him extremely dangerous with the ball in his hands.

The Negative:

Wadley’s size is going to be the main thing holding him back in this draft. He stands at about 5-foot-11 and 190 pounds, which means he isn’t going to be a workhorse back. He’s also had his issues with fumbling. Putting the ball on the turf twice in 2017, and three times the year prior.

The Bottom Line:

Wadley is just electric with the ball in his hands. He’s not going to be a every-down thumper, but that’s okay. Having a top-tier third down back can make a huge difference in games. I could see him having the same impact for the Ravens offense as Chris Thompson does for the Redskins. He can be a dangerous receiving threat out of the backfield, and he has shown he had the vision and talent to run between the tackles if handed the ball. If he’s there on day 3, and the Ravens like where they are on offense, I think they take a player like Wadley.
