Heading into Day 2 of the 2018 NFL draft, here’s a look where the Baltimore Ravens pick.

It hasn’t even been 24 hours and the entire city of Baltimore is buzzing. The Ravens made a splash in the first round, trading three separate times to select tight end Hayden Hurst at pick No. 25 and quarterback Lamar Jackson at pick No. 32.

This is a dream start for the Ravens but we’re just getting started. There are still six more rounds to go through and plenty of picks to be made. Given Ozzie Newsome‘s track record over the years, this is where he’s made some of the franchise’s best picks.

Day 2 kicks off tonight at 7 p.m. with the second and third round. After a first round where the Ravens completely shuffled their entire pick selection, here’s a look at what Ozzie and the front office are working with.

Pick No. 65 (third-round)

Pick No. 83 (third-round)

Pick No. 65 was acquired from the Buffalo Bills in the Ravens’ first trade back to pick No. 22. It’s the first pick in the third round and could provide fantastic value to fill one of the team’s top remaining needs, potentially at wide receiver or offensive line.

Just 18 picks later, the Ravens will be on the board again at No. 83. It’s the team’s original third-round pick coming into the draft.

The Ravens don’t possess a second-round pick after trading it to the Philadelphia Eagles in order to move back into the first round to select Lamar Jackson. In the long haul, that’s completely worth it for the organization considering they believe they’ve found their quarterback of the future.

I don’t expect any more trades tonight but Ozzie has already proven to be unpredictable in just one round. There’s no telling what he’s up to over the next few days.

The front office has put the Ravens in a fantastic position after round one and they will look to continue that positive trend with their other six selections.
