Armani Watts-S-Texas A&M

Even though The Ravens have quite the Tandem in centerfield. Eric Weddle isn’t going to play forever. Going on 34 years of age and Ladarious Webb being cut this offseason. The Ravens at some point in the next two days are going to have to address the safety position. Armani Watts would be the perfect candidate to mold for the future.

Over the last two seasons for The Aggies, Watts has racked up 143 tackles, 16 of them going for a loss and six interceptions. Making All- SEC honors in 2017. Adding him with Eric Weddle and Tony Jefferson to an already well put together defense could give offenses nightmares. In 2016 Jefferson was the top run stopping safety in the league in Arizona. And at times this past season, he looked confused out there. Which a lot can be blamed on the shoulders of now Titans defensive coordinator Dean Pees. Drafting Watts and putting him in centerfield with Weddle, they would be able to put Jefferson in the box and let him do what he did for the Cardinals and be able to disrupt the run every Sunday.

Drafting Watts with the 83rd selection would be ideal for the Ravens front office. Seeing as how they probably will go in the wide receiver direction at 65. And picking Watts with the that pick, may be a little too high. Being able to steal him at the bottom of the third round would be the perfect addition to this defense.
