1. Breshad Perriman

It’s all about a broken record by now but Breshad Perriman’s roster spot is no longer guaranteed in Baltimore. After revamping the entire position over the offseason, the Ravens have ten receivers under contract heading into OTAs and training camp. After his struggles and inconsistencies over three seasons, that leaves little to no room for Perriman.

With no difference in dead cap space pre or post-June 1st, there’s no reason for the Ravens to decide Perriman’s fate now.  It’s likely a decision that will come down to the final week of roster cuts. While the talent still may be there, I’m just not sure how Perriman can further solidify his case on the roster. Will offseason workouts really provide an ample opportunity? We heard last year how great he looked in practice but that never translated to the field. Maybe the preseason will but even then Perriman will be going up against mostly second string and backend depth chart players.

The free agent signings and draft picks make it hard to truly pinpoint where Perriman fits on the roster in 2018. The Ravens already declined his fifth-year option so no matter what, he’ll hit the free agent market in 2019.

Don’t be surprised to see that occur sooner.
