It’s going to be very tough for the Baltimore Ravens to keep all 12 of their rookie draft picks on the 53-man roster.

The Baltimore Ravens currently bolster a 90-man roster during OTAs. That holds true throughout the entire offseason until Week 1 of the regular season, when the front office and coaching staff will make 37 cuts down to the 53-man roster.

Each team is tasked with this challenge and it will be especially tough for the Ravens with an influx of rookie talent. Ozzie Newsome went all out and tied a franchise record with a 12-player draft class. That doesn’t include undrafted rookies and tryout players who’ve made their way into the mix.

The Ravens were able to keep all of their draft picks on the 53-man roster last season but it’s almost virtually impossible this year. Twelve rookie draft picks alone means some will be cut or placed on the 10-man practice squad. When you throw a number of darts at the dart board, some will stick but there’s not enough room to keep every player on the active roster for the entirety of a 16-game regular season.

Here are three players in danger of suffering that fate.

Jaleel Scott

I’m sure I’ll get disagreements here but between Jaleel Scott and Jordan Lasley, Scott is more likely to find his way on to the practice squad. Even without Quincy Adeboyejo, the Ravens still have 12 healthy receivers. I’d assume half of that number would make it on the regular season roster.

Scott is a complete wildcard. He possesses incredible length at 6’5″ with a wingspan that seemingly reaches miles and put together an impressive senior season at New Mexico State. But with that being said, Scott is a raw talent. He’s not a receiver that’s going to win with speed, especially at the NFL level. His strengths are overpowering defenders with length and winning the contested 50/50 balls.

Separation is key and Scott struggled with that at times during his collegiate career. Luckily, he could outreach just about any secondary player in the process. That won’t be as easy against higher level defenders and Scott will need time to develop as a receiver. He brings tremendous upside to the table but given the current state of the receiving crops, Scott will likely be a borderline roster player and it wouldn’t surprise me to see him miss out on the 53-man roster.
