The Baltimore Ravens have some tough choices ahead of them as they prepare for the 53 man roster in August. Getting rid of the dead weight is a good place to start.

When the Baltimore Ravens get to making roster cuts in the NFL preseason, they have some players they should already have ready for the chopping block. Here are the four players the Ravens should say goodbye to first.

4.  Kamalei Correa

Correa is the worst inside linebacker I have seen since Tavares Gooden, which is saying something. The game just doesn’t seem to come naturally to Correa. The Ravens second round pick from the 2016 NFL Draft hasn’t lived up to the billing. Correa was supposed to be a tackling machine. What the Ravens got was a player who got who just can’t make plays. He struggles to avoid blocks, he’s not good in space and he’s not the ferocious tough guy that the Ravens thought he was.

The weak side linebacker next to C.J. Mosley is still has a vacancy. It could be Kenny Young, Patrick Onwuasor or even Bam Bradley, however we know it won’t be Correa. When the Ravens take a player in the second round, they are going to give him every chance to become a great player. Second round picks should become starters, but this second round pick is clearly a bust.

No reason to keep him:

The Ravens have three better athletes in front of Correa. He has been a backup for a reason. If Correa panned out, the Ravens wouldn’t have had to draft Young in the first place. Correa should be one of the first cuts, because it’s time to give up on the notion that he can get it together.
