Baltimore Ravens: starting summer by projecting the 53 man roster
Outside Linebacker:
- Terrell Suggs
- Matt Judon
- Za’Darius Smith
- Tyus Bowser
- Tim Williams
The Ravens have a lot of talent at this position. It’s too much talent for everybody to make the team. Kamalei Correa and Albert McClellan are the notable cuts here. The Ravens have five explosive players on the edge, but they will struggle to get playing time for everybody. When you look at this roster, Tim Williams is making it only because of potential. He did next to nothing in his rookie season yet it would surprise nobody if he became a star.
Terrell Suggs and Matt Judon lead the show here. Suggs is coming off another strong year, proving that he is a very durable 35-year-old. Matt Judon is coming off a season where he had 8.5 sacks and was one of the more consistent players on the defense. The purple and black have two players they absolutely know they can count on here. The rest is just a logjam of young and unproven talent.
The player to watch is Za’Darius Smith. He may be the best athlete Baltimore has at the position. A healthy Smith is explosive.
Inside Linebacker:
- C.J. Mosley
- Kenny Young
- Patrick Onwuasor
- Bam Bradley
Inside linebacker is a very interesting position for this team. C.J. Mosley is a Pro Bowl talent that’s the one thing that is certain. There will be an interesting battle between Kenny Young and Patrick Onwuasor for the other linebacker gig. Bam Bradley is going to make the team because somebody has to play special teams and he’s the right athlete for it.
