Cornerback:

  • Marlon Humphrey
  • Jimmy Smith
  • Tavon Young
  • Anthony Averett
  • Brandon Carr
  • Maurice Cannady

The Ravens depth at the cornerback position is very impressive. Baltimore has a potentially dominant cornerback duo with Marlon Humphrey and Jimmy Smith. The Ravens have a bunch of young cornerbacks behind them that can play. There is also Brandon Carr who is a dependable veteran presence.

Tavon Young and Anthony Averett should be cornerbacks who see most of their time playing over the slot. They are the players that could end up making the secondary elite. With Smith, Humphrey and even Cannady dominating on the outside, teams are going to look to make plays using their slot receivers. Good play from the nickel cornerback could make this defense lethally good.

Safety:

  • Eric Weddle
  • Tony Jefferson
  • Anthony Levine
  • Chuck Clark
  • DeShon Elliott

Eric Weddle and Tony Jefferson are an elite combination in terms of talent. If they are used right, Baltimore will have a chance to get elite production from the safety positions. DeShon Elliot may not factor in the position now, but he could be the free safety of the future. Anthony Levine is a do it all kind of player. Chuck Clark is a strong special teams performer.

Special Teams:

  • Justin Tucker
  • Morgan Cox
  • Sam Koch

The Ravens have a fantastic trio they call “The Wolfpack.” Justin Tucker is the best kicker in football. Morgan Cox is the long snapper and he is very consistent. Koch is a good punter who allows the Ravens to win the field position battle.
