In a previous post I wrote about the five players that the Baltimore Ravens have that are perfect for your fantasy football team. This is the exact opposite. Here are five players you shouldn’t draft to win your league:

Buck Allen and Kenneth Dixon

Fantasy Football doesn’t always like the running back by committee situations. Nobody really knows who the Baltimore Ravens will use more, Buck Allen or Kenneth Dixon. Buck Allen is the known commodity but that could work against him. Dixon has potential and because of that he is exciting.

Allen is a good number two running back, but he’s never going to steal the show from Collins. Another reason to stay away from Allen is that he does a lot of his work catching passes out of the backfield. While this may sound good for PPR leagues, Dixon could end up playing this role for the Ravens. Allen and Dixon are basically a shoe-in for a roster spot, after that nothing is clear. This is a wait and see thing and a Fantasy Football draft isn’t a time for that.

Dixon is coming off a 2017 stealing injury and he had a suspension for PED use last season. Dixon won’t miss any action in 2018 if he stays healthy, but questioning what the Ravens will get from him is fair. He is seemingly injury prone. He missed the first chunk of his rookie season and all of the next year. Dixon has the more exciting skill-set, but he’s barely gotten a chance to use it in the NFL. Dixon has a lot to prove and Allen is a steady contributor in the Ravens backfield. I’d say the advantage goes to Allen, but again we’ll have to see how it plays out. For now, Collins is the only player in the Ravens’ backfield worth getting for your team.
