Tight End:

  1. Hayden Hurst
  2. Mark Andrews
  3. Nick Boyle

Here is why:

Hayden Hurst was the Ravens 1st round pick. It’s a good bet that the Ravens like the rookie out of  South Carolina. Mark Andrews was a third round pick and the Ravens look at third round picks as players that they should get a lot out of. The Ravens top two tight end spots are easily and obviously spoken for. The Ravens have a chance to have one of the more impressive tight end combinations and it’s kind of nice that they came in the same draft class.

Maxx Williams could easily make the 53 man roster but this year he is no lock. Williams has had very little production to speak of and the Ravens may become impatient with him. When you get down to it, what value does Williams bring to the team? Baltimore drafted two tight ends, there is no incumbent player at that position that the Ravens think all that highly of. The Ravens doubled down in the draft. They were getting next to nothing from the tight ends left on the roster so they did something about it.

It would not be shocking to see Vince Mayle make the team to play special teams, but he is far from a roster lock. Special teams is going to be a big factor in the players on the roster bubble making the roster. The Ravens are going to keep at least three tight ends. These are the three players that make the most sense when it comes to being on the roster against the Buffalo Bills.
