3. When does the injury bug strike again?

This offseason has gone perfectly. It has been smooth sailing for the Ravens on the injury front, which is great news. However every Ravens fan knows that the Ravens wouldn’t have any luck if it weren’t for bad luck. It’s almost like the franchise used up all the good luck on Rahim Moore’s lapse of coverage that allowed Jacoby Jones to catch the “Mile High Miracle.” Last offseason the Ravens lost Dennis Pitta, Tavon Young and Kenneth Dixon well before the season.

Anthony Levine had an operation for an injury, but it doesn’t seem like it’s going to be that problematic. Alex Lewis had some back spasms, but that’s only allowed to ruin Chris Redman’s run in Baltimore, so he should be fine. It’s been a quiet offseason from the perspective of the trainer’s room and that’s fantastic. It’s just that it leaves you sitting there like Lilly, from How I Met Your Mother, asking “Where’s the poop, Ravens?

Injuries are unpredictable but if any team knows they can strike at any moment it’s the purple and black. 2015 was ruined by injuries. 2017 looked like it would be derailed completely by injuries but the Ravens gave themselves a shot. They left the season thinking, what would have happened if they had staved off some of the injuries? Knock on wood, hold on to your lucky penny, do what ever you have to do Baltimore. You just never know what can happen on this front, and you have to wonder when that bad luck comes back.
