3. Awesome Special Teams:

Sam Koch was one of the most underrated players in 2017, but punters often are. Koch landed 40 punts inside the 20 yard line. He punted 84 times for to relieve an offense that couldn’t get out of its own way. Koch even had two fake punt passes completed for first downs. With all of this to talk about, he is even one of the best holders for field goals in the NFL. There is no doubt about it, Koch is one of the most important players on the team.

Justin Tucker isn’t bad either, in fact he is the most accurate kicker in NFL history. Tucker gives the Ravens a lot of range as a field goal kicker and if it’s inside of 50 yards it’s a promise not an attempt. The Ravens trio of Koch, Tucker and long snapper Morgan Cox, has been one of the best parts of the team.

Next: Ravens who can redeem themselves

Every season the Ravens seem to make plays on special teams that make a huge impact. The fake punts were two of the most memorable plays of the season. The Ravens scored a touchdown on both a punt return and a kick return. Chris Moore nearly added another kick return touchdown in the season finale. The Ravens have one of the best special teams units in football. That’s something the Ravens will always work on with John Harbaugh and Jerry Rosburg on the coaching staff. Special teams are a special advantage for the purple and black.
